【课 题】Unit3 Mary’s diary

【学习目标】

1.cognitive objective:

a. Get students to be familiar with the free time activitis; b. Get students to be familiar with the sentence pattern: What is he/she going to do? He/ She is going to….

2. ability objective:

a. Enable students to talk about their plans with the sentence pattern: What are you going to do? I am going to ….

b. Enable students to talk about others’ plans with the sentence pattern: What is he/she going to do? He/ She is going to….

c. Use personal pronouns and prepositions(e.g. on

Saturday morning) correctly to make plans. 3. affect and attitude objective:

a. Friends should help each other and progress together; b. Get students to realize that shortcomings must be corrected in time, and never put off things you want to do. 【学习重点】

1. Enable students to talk about their plans with the sentence pattern: What are you going to do? I am going to ….

2. Enable students to talk about others’ plans with the sentence pattern: What is he/she going to do? He/ She is going to….

【学习难点】

1. Use personal pronouns and prepositions correctly to make plans. 2. Use the sentence pattern “He/ She is going to … on…” to describe others’ plan.

【学习准备】text book, preview paper, PPT, cards, teaching assistant

【预设学程】

一、Warm-up

a.

Free talk, then talk about the free time activities Ss know. b.

Show the pictures of free time activities. Let S pick one and say together. Put the card on the blackboard. c.

T mime the action and Ss say the activity. Then S mime and others say. 二、 Presentation a.

Talk about favourite day with a S. Show T’s plan for Saturday and teach sentence: I am going to … on …. Let Ss guess T’s Sunday plan with sentence: You are going to…on …. Teach new phrases: have a picnic, do yoga. b.

T ask: What are you going to do this weekend? And practice the sentence pattern. c.

T talk about friend’s weekend plan and ask: What’s your friend going to do this weekend? Discuss in groups. Teach sentence: He/ She is going to….

d.

Watch a short video about Simple Future Tense and do some exercises.

三、 Practice

a.

Listen to a dialogue of Simon and do exercise. Then read the dialogue together. b.

Show the problems with Auntie Pang. T: How to help Auntie Pang? What is she going to do? c.

T: What’s your friends’ problem? Discuss in groups how to help him/ her and make a weekend plan. d.

Watch a video about Dragon Boat Festival. Show T’s plan for Dragon Boat Festival. Ask Ss to make a plan after class. 【板书设计】
