Animals in danger 本课是JOIN IN六年级上册第 5 单元的第一课时。主要围绕 Animal 话题重点学习与动物种类及动物名称有关的词汇和交际用语。通过本课的学习，学生不仅可以在相应情境中运用主要功能句初步询问和表达教材简析

与学情分析

动物的特征，还可以在新的话题情境中，结合已有的认知经验对自己喜欢的动物进行描述。六年级学生已经具备了一些基本的科学常识，在实际生活中，学生们对于动物的特征是有感性认识的。同时在几年的语言学习中他们已经积累了一定的有关动物的词汇和句型，具备初步用英语交流的能力。但综合运用语言描述动物特征对他们来讲是一个新挑战。

（ 1 ）教师播放英语动物声音歌曲，学生听并且写下看到和听到的动物。

学生拿出前置学习单，学生制作的动物信息卡，利用动物信息卡学生进行描述。

Step4: Extension （ 1 ）教师介绍 Riddle Party 活动步骤

T: Now, we are going to have the Riddle Party. First, write a riddle about one animal. （教师呈现一张事先写好的谜语卡片）

Model: Next, show it on the line. （师把卡片挂在绳上）

Then, read and choose one that you like. ( 师摘下一个 ) Finally, guess and write the key on the card. ( 师在卡片上写谜底 ) （ 2 ）教师拿出一张空白谜语小卡片并在实投下示范编写谜语，如： Cathy 's riddle

（ 3 ）学生借助动物信息卡自编谜语，并挂在绳上。

（ 4 ）学生下座位，选择、朗读谜语，找到编写者，说出答案并核实，如猜对，将得到编写者送出的笑脸评价卡。
