Just as President Xi Jingpin emphasizes the importance of culture confidence many times ay home and abroad, traditional Chinese cultures play more and more role in many aspects and attract the eyes of the whole world nowadays.

Step 2 Mission

假定你是学生会主席李华，你校将举办“弘扬中华传统文化——戏曲进校园”活动，你准备邀请美国朋友John参加，请你写一封邮件给他，包含如下要点：

设计意图

教师通过******关于“文化自信”的理论来引入话题，为下面的写作任务作铺垫，也是为学生的主题升华作暗示。

语言是知识与文化的载体，也是思维方式的体现。融入中国优秀传统文化，通过“讲好中国故事”引导增强文化自信。

情境设置真实，任务符合学生能力水平，又自然融入了我国优秀传统文化内容，以引导学生在使用外语了解世界的同时，注重传承和发扬中华民族优秀文明成果，运用中国元素讲好中国故事，增强文化自信。

As an important part of the series of “Traditional Culture in the Schoolyard”, an activity will be held in our school gym at 3:00pm next Wednesday, April 27th. We’re supposed to go to the gym after the fifth lesson that day, to appreciate an exhibition of the history of Peking Opera, esp. some valuable historical pictures and performing instruments. An hour later, a live performance starred by an 80-yeay-old opera artist Yuan Shihai （袁世海）will be put on, which will last 3 quarters. Personally, I think it’s a feast for you to experience Chinese culture.
