Teaching contents：Starter Unit2（3a-3e）

Teaching aims：

1.To help Ss recognize the target language in natural. 2.To give Ss listening practice with the target language. 3. To give Ss speaking practice with the target language.。

情感态度价值观目标：

教育学生善于观察身边各种事物之间的不同，能用不同的冠词a 或an 来描述物品。

教学重难点

1. 教学重点：

1) 用what’s this in English?进行对话。

2)

冠词a 和an 的用法。

3) “this”和“that”的用法。

2. 教学难点

对话练习。

教学过程

Step1. Warming- up 。

1.Greeting. T:Good morning class!

Ss: Good morning Ms. Liang! T：How are you?

Ss: I’m fine. And you? T: I’m OK. Step2 . Reviesion. 1. Ask Ss to read the letter on the screen. Then do some exercises.

2. Show some pictures .And ask Ss to read them. 3. Ask Ss to practice conversation with the words on 3a like this: 1

A: What’s this in English? B: It’s a map.

(设计意图：复习所学知识，为新课奠定基础。) T:Do you remember all the new words? Today, I’ll use some ways to check if you know the new words.(板书课题)

Step3.Listening. 1.Have Ss look at the pictures on 3a on page7.Then play the tapes .and ask Ss to finish 3a. Then check the answers:5 ,2,7,1,4,6,3,8.(板书答案) 2.Have Ss try to spell the words first and then listen to the tapes again ,Check their answers: Top row: a ruler

Step 4 Listening and speaking.Finish3c.3d Explain to Ss that there are many ways to ask someone how to spell a word, Write the sentences on the board.

Spell it ,please!

. How do you spell that? How do you spell ”cup”? After completing 3c ,have Ss practice the conversation again using these phrases.

Step5 Pair-work. Let Ss know when to use ”this” and “that”. Write on the board. A What’s this in English? What’s that in English? Explain that we use “this” to talk about something we are holding or that is very close to us. We use “that” to talk about something that we have to point to ,which is far from us. Have Ss make conversations with “this” and “that” like this: 2
