Teaching Procedures Step1:Pre-reading

Enjoy a poem about a pig and find the word rhyme Designing aims 通过欣赏一篇与动物相关的诗歌导入新课，激发学生对诗歌的热爱，同时让学生了解诗歌的韵律美。

通过对Welcome所学动物的回顾，让学生对有关动物的词汇更加熟悉。

顺理成章地导入本课两篇诗歌，通过简单交谈了解狗的习性和更多的狗能做的事。激发学生的学习热情，为Reading的继续学习作铺垫。

Step2: Presentation We talked about pets last time. Can you say something about them in your own words?

Among all the pets, which do you like best? Step3: Warm-up

Read through the two poems and answer the question: What are the poems about?

Enjoy some pictures of dogs, simply talk about their behavior and the things they can do.

Step4: Deal with the first poem on page 94 1. Let the students talk about the dog’s behaviour

Step6: Review Finish the passage about the dog and the goldfish. Finish the passage with the new words on page 96.
