Grammar: Simple past tense (I)公开课教案（教学设计）

7B U5 Grammar Hi,there. I am very happy to be here /to say something about /my class arrangement. The teaching aims,/ key points /and difficult points /all point to/ the same direction: By the end of the class, students know: -what Simple Past Tense is -when to use it -and how to use it properly, which is composed of both sentence structure and past forms of verbs , namely , regular verbs/ and irregular verbs. and at the same time/ learn some new words and phrases/ like: ago,the day before yesterday, centimetre /and dodo.

Personally speaking, grammar classes are really challenging. I downloaded dozens of powerpoints/ but without outstanding ones for reference. I won’t elaborate on the teaching steps because I have just demonstrated the lesson. So I had to/ scratch my mind /for/ good ideas. And here I would like to mention /some of them. 1.

Do not give the rules first, and after which follows the examples. Actually, students can work out the rules by themselves if several examples are given. Some interesting games /should be arranged /so as to arise students’

interests. Do not practice tenses /in isolation, it would be much better /if the grammar class is based on a story /or stories, which may also serve as the key line of a whole class. That is why /I chose the comics /Father and Son in my grammar class. Teachers /should be/ good/ storytellers, because /nearly all the students /are story-lovers.

What’s more, all the teaching materials /should be students-oriented. The class should be /close to students’ life/ so that they can respond to teachers better , arise their interests /and hit teaching targets/ at the same time. 5.

Lastly, always bear in mind that/ each and every minute/ in class/ should be used /to enable students /to acquire /what test book and English curriculum require students to do. And thank you very much for your attention.
