课堂设计指导思想：

本堂课是以让学生辨识直接英语和间接引语，并初步了解如何将直接引语改为间接引语为主的语法课。通过创设具体语境，引领学生在真实的语言情景中学习，在语境中体会规则，再通过举例子、归纳总结及巩固练习的方式，让学生一步步地理解直接引语和间接引语之间的关系与转换规则。

Teaching aims:

1. Get to learn the difference between direct speech and reported speech or indirect.

2. Learn how to change direct speech into indirect speech in different tenses.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1

Lead-in

Two short dialogues between students and the teacher are used to tell students what direct and reported or indirect speech are.

【设计说明】

在熟悉的场景里，熟悉的人的对话直接导入本课，让学生在真实的情景中接受直接引语和间接引语的概念。

Step 2

Look and see—changes in quotation marks First ask students to compare the sentences in direct speech and in reported speech listed before, and find the difference between them. Let students learn that we use quotation marks when reporting what has exactly been said in direct speech while we use no quotation marks and make some other changes in reported speech. . 【设计说明】通过两个例句让学生区别直接引语和间接引语，直接引语通常有引号，精确地表达了说话人的话，而间接引语通常没有引号，并会根据情况作出一些其他方面的调整。

Step 3

Look and see—changes in sentence structure First ask students to compare the sentences in direct speech and in reported speech, and find the difference between them. Let students learn that we can change direct speech into indirect speech by changing what has been said to an object clause or an infinitive phrase. 【设计说明】通过两个例句让学生区别直接引语和间接引语，间接引语多数构成宾语从句，也可构成动词不定式短语。

Step 4

Look and see—changes in personal pronouns. Let students learn the changes in personal pronouns and do some exercises.

【设计说明】通过例句和表格让学生了解人称代词具体的变化情况，理解“一主二宾三不变”的具体内涵，并做练习巩固。

Step 5

Look and see—changes in tenses. Let students learn the changes in tenses and do some exercises.

【设计说明】通过例句和表格让学生了解时态的具体的变化情况，一一区别主句是过去时直接引语变间接引语时态的变化，并做练习巩固。

Step 6

Look and see—changes in adverbials of time and place Introduce to students example of changes in adverbials of time and place by means of sample sentences and the table，and do some exercises. 【设计说明】引入新的规则，即时间和地点状语的变化，罗列出常用的变化规则，并做练习巩固。

Step 7

Look and see—changes in other cases Use the table to show some more examples of the changes that take place when we change direct speech into reported speech and also tell students some special cases. 【设计说明】用表格直接引入两个指示代词和个别动词的变化, 并通过例句向学生指出应用中应注意的特殊情况。

Step 8 Practice Ask students to change two sentences into reported speeches, and two students will be invited to write down their answers on the blackboard. 【设计说明】这一练习的设计为学生提供了一个综合运用的平台，让学生综合体会本堂课所学的各种变化形式，并核查学生的薄弱环节。

Step 9 Summary Ask students to review what has been learned in this class and check if they have grasped the knowledge of direct speech and reported speech.

【设计说明】这一设计是本堂课的一个归纳总结环节，让学生进一步反思本堂课所学内容。

Step 10

Homework Ask students to finish the exercises on page 9 and C1 on page 92

【设计说明】通过家庭作业从情境与专项练习两方面再次巩固所学内容。并为下一课时的学习作准备。
