The first period Teaching topic:

1. The pupils can read the new sentences.

2.The pupils can read the dialogue.

3.The key points: The pupils can read the dialogue.

The difficult points: The pupils can use the sentences correctly. 4.Teaching tools: pictures, cards, head and tapes.

Teaching steps:

Step1.Warm-up/Revision

2.Sing the songs. “An Apple a Day” and “They Are in the zoo.”

3.Use the cards to revise the fruit and animal words.

Step2. Presentation 1.

Listen to the tape. Show the contents of the dialogue. 2. TPR. Explain the words: get, carry, count, eat, strong. Step3. Practice

1.Read the dialogue and answer the questions. 2.Who can get the apples? What can the elephant get? 3.How many pears are there in the picture? 4. How many peaches are there in the picture? 5.
