Unit 4: Finding your way Integrated skills Teaching aims: Knowledge and skill: To recognize key expressions about directions and tell the different
prepositions from one to another. Process and method: To develop intensive listening skills by following instructions and making a route and develop students’ ability to catch the detailed information. Emotion attitude and values: To give directions in an everyday context and make up a conversation with these expressions. Teaching focuses： 1.To tell the prepositions about directions from one to another 2.To use these expressions to write a passage Teaching procedures: Task 1: Playing a game
Play a game: Finding the treasure. Gate one: Know the signs. Gate two: Describe the pictures. Gate three: Listen and put the sentences in the correct order. Gate four: Listen and draw the route.
Task 2: Speak up 1. Listen and answer: What will be at Sunny Garden this Saturday? 2. Read and draw the route from Daniel’s home to Sunny Garden.
3. Read and practice. Homework: Work in pairs to design a conversation about the way from our school to your home.
