Teaching procedures: Step1. Leading in Get students to talk about the cartoon - The wolf and the sheep ,then show a sentence with v-ed as adverbial. Then make students be clear about what they will learn in this period. Step2. Discovery

Have a talk with students about some language situations , then with the help of the teacher and under student’s self analysis , make them summarize the rules v-ed as adverbial. Situation1: *(Because The wolf and The Sheep is )watched by many children, It is very popular in China.

*(When it is )compared with other cartoons, it is more interesting. *(If

the sheep village is )seen from the sky, it looks very beautiful. *(Although the sheep village was) built 500 years ago, it still looks very beautiful. Conclusion1: 1.

当状语从句的主语和主句的主语一致时，从句的主语和系动词be可以省略. 2.

过去分词V-ed 句中可作条件、时间、原因、伴随、让步等状语，相当于状语从句的省略。

V- ed 作状语与中心句主语形成被动关系。
