1、通过本单元的学习,熟练掌握与庆祝生日有关的短语等。

2、能熟练地使用祈使句表达自己的建议或要求。

3、能听懂生日聚会中的常见对话,并能够应用于现实生活中。学情分析:

五年级2班的孩子有一定的英语基础,乐于开展小组活动,善于学习。

教学过程:

Step one: warm up

1.Greetings.

2.Lead-in

(Take out a present.)

T: I take a present for you. Can you guess what’s in it?

(让学生先猜,再通过白板“刮刮画”的形式揭晓)

T: Yes, it’s a birthday cake. We often eat birthday cake on our

birthday. But whose birthday is today? Let’s listen and find.

Step two: presentation

1.Listen and check

Q1: Whose birthday is today?

(Choose some students to answer, then show a picture of Tingting to check.)

T: Yes, today is Tingting’s birthday. So she will have a birthday party with her friends. (板书标题Having a birthday party)

Q2: What will happen on her birthday party? Let’s see.

2.Learn picture 1 and 2 together.

Show picture1 and 2, then talk about it.

Q3: What is Tingting doing?

Light the candles; sing a song.(用实物和动作示范教学此短语) Q4: What else will they do?

3.Learn picture3 to picture6 in groups.

First, read together.

Second, underline some new words.

Third, find the answer.

(学生上台写new words并在书上勾画出短语)

Then choose some groups to show their answer.

T: Maybe, let’s listen and check.

4.Learn together and check.

Listen and repeat, then check the answer. (Pay attention to some difficult words.)

5.Learn picture7.

T: We have eaten the cake. It’s dark outside. Will Tingting’s friends go home? Let’s listen. (Listen and repeat picture7, pay attention to “be worried about”.)

T: Step three: Consolidation.

1.Read the whole text after the tape.

2.Read in groups.

3.Retell the text by the phrases on the blackboard.

Step four: Practice.

1.Match the phrases with the correct pictures.

2.Role play.

Step five: Homework.
