The students in Grade Five are good at speaking English, they are curious about everything new and interesting,

they can use sentences to introduce their villages.

This is the second period in Unit6,

and the teaching content is about sentence: there be…, so it is easy for students to finish this lesson.

B Let’s learn. Now please look at the blackboard, let’s learn the new words together. Task1

look at the pictures and learn the words about village: 1.house : Are there any houses on the mountain? Yes, there are. 2.building :Are there any buildings on the mountain? Yes, there are. 3.village : There are many houses in the village. 4.tree : There are some trees near the village. 5.bridge : Are there any bridges on the mountain? Yes, there are. There is one.

Who can remember quickly?

T: Look at the pictures and tell us the words about village. If you know the answer, please put up your hands, and if your answer is correct, you can get a present.

Task3 Look , listen and read

T: Now look at your books, listen to the tape and read after the tape. 1. The whole class read together. 2. Boys read, and then girls read. 3. Read in groups. 4. Read in pairs. 5. Read one by one.

Task4 Look and say

T: Look at the pictures, then say out the words loudly.

1. One student guesses the picture: Are there any trees in the village? I f the teacher points to the picture of village, the other students answer: Yes, there are. 2. One student describes the picture, the other students guess the words about village.

教学反思

The obstacles to prevent my students from finishing the tasks are writing skills, which make them unable to write sentences after the example correctly and quickly, especially about “there is” and “there are”,

a small number of them can’t use them exactly.But with the aid of the teacher, all the students can write the correct sentences. And the students can listen, read, and write the new words fluently at the end of the class.
