Teaching Procedures Step 1 Warming-up 1.

Free talk.

T: Hello, boys and girls. Ss: Hello, teacher. T: How are you today? Ss: I’m fine, thank you. And you? T: I’m fine, too. Nice to meet you. Ss: Nice to meet you, too. 2.

Sing the song“How are you?”. 【设计意图】与学生进行日常会话，并通过唱歌进行热身，既能培养学生的学习兴趣，又能活跃课堂气氛。

Step 2: Preview 1.

Check your eyes. Show PPT to present the words of Unit 1~Unit 3 and let the students say the words as quickly as

possible. 【设计意图】

：通过游戏，即激发了学生兴趣，又使学生在宽松的情景下巩固复习了所学的单词。

Ask and answer. Show the pictures and ask some questions. For example：

T: Where are you from? Ss: I’m from Canada/China/the UK/the USA. T: Who’s that girl? Ss: She’s Amy. T: Who’s that boy? Ss: He’s Mike. T: Who’s that woman? Ss: She’s Miss White. T: Who’s that man? Ss: He’s Mr Jones. 【设计意图】

Read aloud 1. Watch the video and answer the questions: <1>What can you see?

<2>Who are they? <3>Where are they? Answers:

<1> I can see two girls and one boy.

<2>They are Jone, Wang Tong, and Chen Jie.

<3> They are in the school. [设计意图]：通过提问培养学生独立思考的能力。

2. Listen to the tape and answer the questions:

<1>Who is tall?

<2>Where is John from? <3>Who likes sports?

Answers:

<1>Wang Tong is tall. <2>He is from the USA <3>Wang Tong likes sports. [设计意图]：既练习了学生的听力，又培养了学生独立思考的能力。

3. Listen to the tape again and read after it , pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. [设计意图]：训练学生的听力，使学生的语音语调得到很好的锻炼。

4. Write the new word and sentences on the blackboard . I like sports. Let’s play!

[设计意图]：指导学生正确书写单词和句型，增进师生感情。

5.Show some pictures of sports and explain the sentence“I like sports. Let’s play.”.

T：I like basketball／football．I like swimming／running…So I can say I like sports．

6. Ss read the new word and sentences after the teacher and repeat the sentences“I like sports. Let’s play!”by reading in groups/one by one. 【设计意图】多种形式的朗读方式激发学生的学习积极性，提高课堂教学的效率。

7. Let the students make sentences by using“I like…Let’s…”. For example：

I like apples. Let’s eat．I like juice．Let’s drink．

8.Show time Divide the students into three groups to practice the dialogue and remind the students to bring appropriate expressions, movements and gestures. 【设计意图】用今天所学的句子分小组自由练习，培养学生合作精神。

9. Invite several groups of students to perform the dialogue, give the best performance award and commend them. 【设计意图】通过表演，既调动了学生的学习积极性，又使所学知识得到了有效地运用。
