Step1.Play a game 1.First let’s review the new words we learned last time. long---short big---small tall---short old---young fat---thin 2.Let’s say and do some actions. I say“ long”, and you say “short”.

【设计目的】通过游戏导入，既有趣又轻松的将学生带入英语课堂，又巩固了以前所学的形容词，从而为该课的学习打下良好的基础。

Step2.Let’s chant. Tall, tall. I am tall. Short, short. You are short. Fat, fat. He is fat. Thin, thin. She is thin. Old, old. They are old. Young, young. We are young. Step3 Lead-in 1.

In this class,we will learn the new topic<> 2. Let’s study the learning goals and language goals for this class. 【设计目的】引入节奏明快的咏唱，很好地激发了学生学习的积极性，让他们能

够快乐地、集中地投入到该课的学习中。引入学习目标，目的在于让学生明确该课的主要学习内容，让他们不盲目，不迷茫。

Step5.Presentation(ⅠⅠ) 1.Watch, listen and find the sentences with “wasn’t” , “weren’t”. 2.Ask one by one try to read the sentences with “was/wasn’t” , “were/weren’t”. Teacher write them on the blackboard,then read them together. 3.Listen and repeat, then fill in the blanks. They

Step6.Practice（Ⅰ）

1.Work in groups and read the text with your partners. 2.Let’s have a match. Which group reads better? 【设计目的】轻松有趣的赛读活动，不但让学生在小组中充分发挥小组合作意识，同时也让学生在欢乐愉悦的氛围中巩固操练了所学的句型。在小组合作过程中，多数学生可以加深对知识的理解和印象，同时实现“兵帮兵，兵教兵”的策略。

Step7.Practice（ⅠⅠ）

1.师:Can you describe somebody or something with was,wasn’t,were,weren’t. 2.呈现句型：

3.Work in groups, practice saying. 【设计目的】通过小组内句型操练，使学生在机械性操练的基础上，过渡到实践练习，运用所学语言来解决问题，达到学以致用的目的。

Step8.Have a summary. 教师予以总结，表扬优胜组，把奖品奖励给优胜组。

Step9. Do some exercises 【设计目的】老师运用练习的形式导入该环节，既巩固了该课新学的句型，又能让学生放松身心，在轻松愉快的氛围中结束这节课，可谓一举两得！

Step10.Homework 1.Recite the text. 2.Descibe someybody or something with“wasn’t”、“weren’t”to your parents.
