Teaching procedures: Step 1 : Warming up 1.

Teacher shows a video and asks a question: What are the original forms of these five mascots? 2.

Teacher gives some multiple choices to students to let them know the history of the Olympics.

Step 2: Reading for style and structure

Teacher gives ask-answer questions to let students get knowledge of the speech. Step 3: Reading for details Task 1 (1)

fill the blanks to let students know the history of the Olympic Games.(p2-4) (2)

ask and answer question to let students know the significance of the Olympic Games.(p2-4) (3)

review the content together and summarize the heroes of the Olympic Games. Task 2 (1)
