1.Students had master the sentence pattern of “What are you doing?” in Lesson five, so they had know the meaning of the present progressive.And this lesson is based on the previous lesson in the Background sentences which changes the name of the person.

Step I. Warming-up
2.Let’s chant. 1.Say hello to teacher. 2.Chant with the teacher. 3.Review some words 3.Review the words (run,running/fly,flying...). through the games.
Step II. Let’s go to the animals
1.Teach some new words and Presentationworld. 1.Let students page 21, 1.Open the book and give some information about
and play the tape. (First listen, and then following to the tape.) 2.Present the bird on the screen, and then play a guessing game to ask some questions: What is it?
What is it doing? (In this way,present the animals: monkey,cat,mouse,cow, fish,elephant one by one. Beside, teach the new words of “cow,running”
by presenting the cards.

It is + 动词one ) -ing” ,and remember them.

Students finish the tasks in groups or in pairs. After 5mins,they present their answer to the whole class.

Work in groups.
1.Give different task to lead students to attain varieties of knowledge. 2.To make sure every student can have a chance to learn something. 3.Though the dialogue, students can learn the rules of the present progressive. Beside, students can master the rules by singing the song.
Step III. Practice 1.Use PPT to show some practices and let the students fill in the blanks in 5mins. Practice 1: What ____ it doing? It ____ playing. What ____ you doing? I ____ reading a book. Practice 2:Let’s guess What ____ he doing? He ____ playing football. What ____ she doing? She ____ reading a book.
Step IV. Production
1.Present some pictures and the sentences pattern to lead students to make some dialogues.
2.Let students sing the song.
Read the words and the sentences of this lesson and try to remember them.
1.Make a dialogue with Let students know what they classmate, have learn and remember about
this class.
2.Sing a song with teacher.
Consolidate the students’

1)Students’ abilities are different,and some students may feel confused about some words and they can’t speak correctly. 2)Time seems very limited to teach all the things in 45minite and students may be out of control in practice. 3)Some quiet students may not take part in the game.
