Teaching aims: 1.

Help students to review some key phrases, expressions and use them.

Review: Teacher uses the pictures and word cards to help students to revise

some key words and sentence patterns in this unit.

Step Ⅱ. Presentation. 1.

Acting game.

Teacher uses the name cards (such as Amy, Mike, Miss White and so on) to let some students choose one of them randomly. Then the student should act like the character and make a self-introduction. For example:

S1: I’m Amy, I’m a girl, and I’m a student.

S2: Hi, I’m Miss White, I’m a teacher.

Story time. (1)

Let students watch the story, and try to answer the following questions: A.

Who are they in the story? B.

What are they doing? C.

Who is clever? (2)

Ask the students to read the story after the computer. (3)

Teacher guides students to read the story, and help them to understand some new language points in it. (5)

Let some students act out the story.

Step Ⅲ. Practice.

Ask students to work in groups, and fill in the blanks with the sentences in the story, try to complete it.

Step Ⅳ. Production.

Teacher show the pictures of the story, and let students to put them in right order. Then teacher guides students to retell the story by using the conversations in the story without the book.

Step Ⅴ. Summary.

Help students to review the key points in this class, and evaluate their performance in class.

Step Ⅵ. Homework.

Tell the story to your parents.
