The textbook is from Book 2 for Primary students of Grade 4, by LX Education Press B. Functions and status
The function of Unit 9 is talking about shopping. This unit is the succeeding part of the previous unit in terms of the vocabulary about clothes. In this unit, we will learn how to ask prices of the things.

Ⅵ. Teaching Procedure Step 1 Warming up
Play a game of “Follow me” together. (课前热身,缓解紧张气氛,激发学习兴趣)
Step 2 Lead-in
T: What day is this Sunday? What are you going to do this weekend? (通过交谈引出儿童节购物的话题。)
Step 3 Presentation
a. Today we are going to a clothes shop. (展示服装店课件)
Ask: What can you see in this shop? What are they?
(出示服装图片,同时提问复习表示服装名称的词汇) b. Ask: Do you like these beautiful clothe? Do you know their prices? (由学生想了解商品价格,引出对数词的复习)
c. Activity:count numbers.
(通过报数游戏,让学生在活动中掌握数字的表达方法)
Step 4 Patterns a. Show the prices of coat and skirt. Give examples. b. Work in pairs. Ask the prices of the things given on the screen. (提供句型示范,让学生模仿分组对话)
c. Deal with the difficult points. (提问短裤的价格时,强调shorts是复数形式,提问时注意用How much are the shorts? / They are….并用trousers, shoes 等词操练)
d. Talk about the things around you. (利用手头的其他物品,向其主人询问价格,可以将句型运用的实际生活中来) Step 5 Pair work & Role-play a.

Make a dialogue about shopping. And act it in the front. Choose the best group.

Make a dialogue about buying a gift for your mum. Write it down on your notebook.
