Step 1 Warm-up 1.

Let’s chant.

I like tomatoes. I like potatoes. Carrots I will try. I love to eat green beans. But onions make me cry. 2.

Play a game: sharp eyes.

Step 2 Lead-in T: Boys and girls, I have two new friends, Jack and Lily. They are hungry now, so they are going to a restaurant to eat something. What would they like to eat?

Step 3 Presentation 1.

hamburger sandwich (1)

Enjoy a song---I’m hungry. (2)

Ask students to think two questions：What would Jack like to eat? What would Lily like to eat? (3)

Ss: Jack would like a hamburger, Lily would like a sandwich. (4)

Show the picture of “hamburger” and “sandwich”. (5)

Teach “salad” in the same way. 4.

tea Play a video about tea. T: Boys and girls, what’s this video about? Ss: It’s about tea. T: Yes. Tea, tea. What would you like to drink?

Ss: I’d like some tea. Step 4 Practice 1. Play a game: I can read.

Show a turntable on the PPT. Teacher starts the turntable. Students should speak out the word that is pointed to loudly. 2. Play a game: What’s missing?

Show five pictures on the PPT. When teacher says “missing, missing”, students should say the missing word as soon as possible. .

Step 5 Consolidation Play a game: Driving a train

Five students are in a group. Which group finishes the task first is the winner. For example, S1: What would you like to eat? S2: I’d like a hamburger. What would you like to drink? S3: I’d like some milk. What would you like to eat? S4: ……

Step 5 Summary

Summarize the key points with students. Step 6 Homework 1.
