I、Teaching Aims:
1、Understand,say and read the words:factory
worker,postman,businessman,policeofficer,postwoman,busi nesswoman,policeman,policewoman.
2、Understand and say the sentences:What does he/she do? He’s/She’s a/an_______.
II. Important Points and Difficult Points:
1.Important Points: Undestand and hold the four skilled words and the sentences;what does he/she do? What does your mother/father do ? He’s/She’s……
2.Difficult Points: Hold the pronunciation of the words
“business man” and “businesswoman”.
III. Teaching Aids: CAI and word cards.
IV. Teaching Methods: Practice.
V. Teaching Steps:
Step 1. Warming up.
Greeting.
Step2. Presentation
1.Revise the words: singer, dancer, taxidriver, cleaner, writer , football player ,and farmer. Teacher asks: Do you want to be a teacher/singer/……?Ss: Yes, I do./No, I don’t. T: What do you want to be? Ss: I want to be a/an…….
Then have some students come to the front and do the actions about professions. Let the other students guess what he/she does. 2.Use the pictures to teach the words: factory worker, postman, postwoman, businessman, businesswoman . police officer, policeman, police-woman . Then have the students practice reading the words.
3.T asks: Is your father/mother a/an……?by using the pictures? Help the Ss answer: Yes, he/she is. /No, he/she isn’t. Then ask again: What does he/she do? Ss answer: He’s /She’s a/an……
4.Have the students read the dialog on page 49.
5.Ask some Ss“What does your father/mother do:” Ss
“He’s/She’s a/an……” Then ask another student“What does his/her father/mother do?Have the other students answer. Step3 . Pratice
Use the flash and ppt to praction the important words and sentences.
Step 4 .Sum-up.

Step 5 . Homework.
1.Write the words in this lesson five times.
