Module 5

Unit 2 They were young 教学重点:

1、会读、会说并且理解下列句子的含义。

They weren’t old then.

They were young. Was it fat? Yes, it was. / No, it wasn’t. It was thin.

2、能在创设的情境中运用句子。

教学难点:Was it fat?

Yes, it was. / No, it wasn’t.

Were they young?

Yes, they were. / No, they weren’t.

教学用具:小黑板,图片,单词卡片,英语歌曲录音带,一个小盒子

教学步骤:

一、挂上小黑板,复习上一单元内容

Look at this picture. They are my grandparents. Then they were young. But now they are old. 二、展出几张图片,在图片下方写上本课形容词。简单过一遍形容词。

教师先作介绍:They are my grandparents. They were young then. They weren’t old.

同时板书出重点单词:were 及

weren’t。强调其中的否定形式,说明用法。

然后教师继续介绍:It is a cat. It was thin then. It wasn’t fat.

同时板书出重点单词:was 及

wasn’t。强调其中的否定形式,说明用法。

三、打开课本32页,听录音,跟读第一部分。教师带读,学生齐读。

四、拿出刚才的图片,教师先介绍:

Were they young? Yes, they were. / No, they weren’t. They were old.

Was it fat? Yes, it was. / No, it wasn’t. It was thin.

把全部图片介绍一遍,要学生个别操练,同桌间相互练习。

五、活动:放音乐传盒子

盒子里放上图片,附带上句子:Were / Was it / they/ he/ she ……?

音乐停止时学生随意抽出图片读出并作肯定或者否定回答。

六、练习。
