Step One :Lead-in Attract Ss’

The teacher shows the class a ridio to create an English environment. And ask attention and some questions about animals: make them be What did you see in the ridio? interested in Do you like animals? the class. Then show them some animals they had learned and read after the teacher.

( e.g. animals---tiger elephant koala panda lion giraffe… )

Step Two:Guessing game Make Ss 1.

Show them some sounds about the animals .

Elephant sounds better

Let them guess what animals are they.

Step Three:section A 1a 1b

Consolidate 1.Match the words with the animals in the picture. the words 2.Ask students to answer the questions. they learnt. 3.Check the ansers

4.Work on 1b. Tell Ss to listen to the tape and check the animals they hear in 1a.

5.Play the recording and check the answers with the class.

6. Show some pictures of animals.
