一、教材分析：

通过学习，学生对Be过去式的用法已经有些掌握，通过本单元的学习，使学生能够描述过去，并进一步巩固Be的用法。

目标定位：谈论过去与现在的变化。

二、教学重、难点：

1. 学生能够运用和描述过去，介绍自己或者他人过去的情况。

2. 一般疑问句的问答。

三、教学过程：

Step 1. Warming-up 1. Greetings. T: Class begins. Good afternoon， boys and girls! S: Good afternoon， Ms Guo. Sit down，please. T: How are you? S: I’m fine，thank you.And how are you? T: I’m fine，too.Today is a fine day.Are you ready for class?（准备好上课了吗？）

Today we’ll learn Module5 Unit2 《They were young.》板书课题。

2. Now, Let’s practice some opposite words. I say tall. You say short. OK? (big - small, long - short, fat – thin, tall – short, old – young, bad – good) Very good. 3. Let’s chant. Excellent! 4、出示then、now图片，让学生感知过去与现在。

you know then? 意思是在那时，表示过去。 So we can say it was big then. 2、刚才出示这么几个词，我们来小结一下，表示现在我们可以用 is， am， are.其中is am用于单数，are用于复数，两个以上我们就叫复数。

表示过去我们用was和were, was用于单数，were用于复数。 Read after me. Was、 was、 wasn’t、 wasn’t、 were、 were、weren’t、 weren’t. 游戏：黑板上出示was、 wasn’t、 were、 weren’t；

T: Say it as fast as you can. T: You did a good job. 3、课文学习 Let’s learn the text. Please open your books and turn to page 29. a．第一遍听。 b. 第二遍回答问题。 4．Group Work. 挑生展示。

5、总结。怎么样表述过去的事物。She was/wasn’t... They were/weren’t...（板书）

6、歌谣练习Let’s sing a song! （刚才同学们做得非常的好，下面我们来唱首歌）Do you know the song 两只老虎，两只老虎。 We can sing the song like this They weren’t old then. They weren’t old then. They were young. They were young. 8、家庭作业：

用wasn’t与weren’t描述家人过去的样子，再用am、is、are描述家人现在的样子。
