Step 1.Warming up and revision Before beginning the class, sing and dance English song together. T: Class begins! boys and girls. Glad to see you! T: Firstly, we sing and dance English song together. OK? Here we go! T: Everyone did a good job. Clap for us! Now,before we take up the new lesson, Work in groups, memory verbs and irregular verbs what we have learnt. Step 2 Lead-in T: The lesson we are going to do today is about London. Where is London? 引导学生回答 It is in England. Step 3 Presentation 1.T: Now, I want you to open your books. Find Module 1 Unit 1 activity 1.look at the pictures. Look at the first picture. What is it? 引导学生回答It is the Big Ben. T: Yeah! You are so clever. Ok! The second one? 引导学生回答It is the London eye. Ss listen and chant. Learn the new words: met,above,ground T: Now you please underline all the past tense verbs in the chant. Ss find: went, met, visited, saw. Summarize the words in pairs: go-went meet-met visit-visited see-saw Ss read the words together, then write them down on their books. 2.T: The teacher point a boy in the picture and say: he is John. And then ask: Are they talking? Play the CD-ROM and Ss must listen carefully. T:Ok! The first question: Where did they go? T: The second question: when did they come back? And who did ling ling meet in London?
