grasp the new adjectives to describe people they know.

(2) work in groups to discuss what makes a good teacher.

Step1. Lead-in

The teacher shows several pictures about their new school to attract the students’ attention. Then the teacher guides the students to talk about their new teachers. Step2. Presentation

At first, the teacher offers an example. Then students are invited to share their opinions about their new teachers. Next the students categorize the words alone and then in pairs. At last, check the answers together and the teacher explains some words may have a positive meaning and a negative meaning by giving some examples. Step3. Practice

The students need to follow the example to use the adjectives above to describe the people they know and then they will be invited to share their sentences with the rest. Next, they read the sentences in activity 3 and express their opinions.

Step4. Production The teacher will ask for a show of hands about who has ticked each one. According to the survey, the students are asked to work in groups to discuss what makes a good teacher.
