常见的直接接动词-ing形式的动词有: consider

(考虑),

advise/suggest , excuse, admit, ,delay（推迟,fancy,avoid, miss, keep, practice, deny, finish, enjoy/appreciate,forbid, imagine, risk, can’t help,mind, allow/permit, escape（逃脱）等。

助记口诀：

考虑建议盼原谅，承认推迟没得想

•

避免错过继续练，否认完成就欣赏

•

禁止想象才冒险，不禁介意准逃脱

2)常见的直接接动词-ing形式的短语: feel like, give up,

be used to , lead to, keep on, insist on, look forward to,

devote…to , object to,

be busy (in), get down to, have some trouble /difficulty /problems (in), be worth等

3 She had finished ________ (listen) to the news. 4 I am looking forward to _______(see) you.

5 The doctor advised ________ (take) more exercise. Step3 注意：有些动词既可以跟动词-ing形式又可以跟动词不定式

(1)The coat needs washing.

The coat needs to be washed. need后的动词-ing形式,主动形式表被动意思,等于其后加不定式的被动形式,类似的词还有want ,require. (want/need/require doing=want/need/require to be done,需要被……)。

2）I like listening to music of this kind

I like to listen to pop music these days. like,love,hate,prefer后接动词-ing形式时,多表示一种习惯或倾向,接不定式时,多表示一次特定的或具体的动作。

接两种形式意义大不相同：
