Teaching goals: 1.

Key sentences: The old town is on the side of a mountain and opposite it is the 5,500 meter Yulong Xuanshan Mountain, its peak covered with snow. Seen from above, the old town is a maze of canals, little bridges and tiny cobbled streets that tourists get lost in. 2. Teaching procedures Step1 Revision and lead-in 1.

Review what the students learnt in previous classes by showing them some pictures about Yunnan. 2.
