简单了解中国、美国各大主要城市在国家领土内的地理位置。培养学生热爱祖国，热爱家乡的思想感情，并初步建立与其他英美国家建立良好邦交关系，待人友善的意识。

教材分析

本课是新标准英语第八册第八模块的第一单元 He lives in the east of the US.主要教授的内容是第八模块第一单元的单词，句型和课文。本课的重点内容是方位的表

达方法。重点单词有：east, west, south, north, country,

speak, capital,另外有两个城市New York和Los Angeles也比较重要。重点句型为in the…of, 表达一定范围内部的方位, 课文围绕一副美国地图展开讨论，大明和萨姆讨论了大明的堂兄居住的地方，并希望能够有一天去美国参观。

上课之前我在网上搜索中国和美国的地图等相关教学材料，找了一些教案和材料作参考，了解到教学的重点和难点，确定课堂教学形式和方法。然后根据本节课堂教学需要，利用希沃系统做课件生动有趣的让学生对课文的学习。

五、教学过程

Step 1: Warming –up

1、Greeting T : Hello boys and girls , nice to see you? How are you? S: Fine, thank you, how are you?

T: Fine, thank you.

Now, you’re group A(1、2), you’re group B(3、4). Here are some starts. The more you can make up, you will be the winner. 2、Let’s do some actions.

Point to the door/desk/chair/book/east/west/north/south. （TPR活动，把学生带入欢乐的学习英语的氛围,同时复习了east/west）

3、教授新单词north

south并且操练新单词。（结合TPR活动展开操练）。

Step2: Leading in T: Now let me introduce myself. My name is Zouting, You can call me Miss Zou, I live in China. Where do you live? (引导学生回答

I live in China.) Step 3：Presentation: （呈现新知）

1、T: Here is a map of China.(蒙层出示中国地图）

Look, this country is China. People in China speak Chinese.(教师拿出单词卡，教授country/speak) ，并操练句子。同时强调ea组合的发音规则，总结归纳出ea组合的单词让学生操练。

2、依次蒙层出示英国地图和美国地图，让学生操练句型

（通过这个环节的操练，引出了本课的内容美国的地图以及新的句型，同时让学生自己归纳总结这两个句型的运用，做了大量的输出，为后面的环节做铺垫）。

3、观看视频，初步了解美国地图，说出美国的首都。

.让学生通过新句型的学习进行拓展的操练和训练，让学生更多的了解各个国家的首都。

Step4: Text 1、看课文动画，找到并学习文中出现的美国的一些城市名称

New York/ WashingtongD.C/Los Angeles，并进行操练。

T: Do you know other cities in the US? Let’s watch the video and find. （初步感知课文，带着问题对课文进行初读，找出文中的关键城市，这几个城市都是比较难读的单词，教师要适当的进行指导。）

T：The capital of the US is Washingtong D.C.

It’s in the east of the US. 2、第二遍看课文动画完成板书上的填空。

of the US. (第二次体验课文，这次的问题有一定的难度，对课文的理解层层递进，听完课文让学生上讲台把New York/Los Angeles拖到课件上美国地图上的正确位置，让学生参与到活动中来，学生不但感兴趣而且注意力还特别集中。对课文的理解更加的透彻。

3、教授新句型

in the east 操练词组，east east in the east, 并做个手势让学生注意the 在元音字母前的发音。在east前板书in the,分步板书，分排操练) 句型操练：T points to the New York and says: New York is in the east. (教师带读两次，让学生跟读，read the sentence one by one, 分个人，分小组操练。教师板书句子，在之前板书的短语前把句子补充完整，分步板书的目的是为了展示教学步骤从词到短语到句子的输出过程，操练完成后，教师带出New York is in the east of the US.,让学生对知识有初步感知) 教师指向黑板上的坐标图west, ask Ss what about Los Angeles?

试着让学生自己拼读出in the west，（板书：in the west (west west in the west) 词组操练。

句型操练：T

Los Angeles is in the west of the US.(先操练句子，同样用分步板书的方法板书句子，板书完整句子Los Angeles is in the west of the US.操练句子，分排，分组，分个人操练) 4、第三部细读课文，小组合作细读课文回答问题。

四人小组合作：用老师课前下发的中国地图的拼图，四人合作完成拼图，填写完整句型并说出句子，以评比的方式，说的句子越多得了星星越多）

3、展示合作成果。
