二、学情分析
五年级下学期的学生经历了将近五年的英语学习,已经初步养成了一定的、良好的学习习惯,能熟练运用一定数量的核心词汇与一些重要的、常见的词法与句法,初步具备了一定的听、说、读、写技能,具备初步的收集信息,分析信息,处理信息的能力,在与同伴交流合作讨论的过程中初步达到了处理问题解决问题的能力。同时孩子活泼、热情,有强烈的求知欲,他们乐于表达,愿意进行语言上的交流,也愿意与同伴分享学习的快乐!本单元话题是“博物馆”,在上一单元Changes中已经初步感知了历史博物馆的知识,平时也曾多次与父母去过不少博物馆,具备了必要的学习经历。
三、单元教学目标
【语用任务】
在International Museum Day的单元语境中,通过对本单元的六个博物馆的场所特征学习、体验和实践,感知理解并运用核心语言,提炼信息,整合语言知识,表达自己对博物馆的感受,体会到不同类型博物馆的功能,了解历史、文化和发展的学***台,从而达到积极的情感体验。
语言知识与技能
1. 能听说读写核心词汇science museum, art museum, history museum, insect museum, car museum, railway museum, perform, useful, really, dance。
2. 能用What did you see in ... Museum?来询问在博物馆看到的陈列并作答。
3. 能用Which museum do you want to see ?来对想要参观的博物馆进行询问并作答。
4. 能用从地方、见闻、感受等几个方面来描述自己喜欢的博物馆。
语言情感
学生对博物馆产生一定的兴趣,愿意主动了解各种类型的博物馆,进一步学习博物馆展示的历史、文化和对社会发展的作用,从而激发学生深入了解博物馆的欲望以及培育他们爱上博物馆的积极情感。
学习策略
1. 通过文本整体感知、问题驱动、小组学习、提取信息、角色扮演、游戏体验等多种方式推进学习。
2.通过视频、图片和音乐创设生动的语境,学生在活动体验中感受各种博物馆的文化和魅力。

第一课时主体学习文本:
I know the Shanghai History Museum. It’s in Pudong. In this museum, we can see many old things. We can also see a lot of photos of old Shanghai. I like this musem.
I know the Shanghai Art Museum. It is on West Nanjing Road. In this museum, we can see hundreds of paintings. I like this museum.
I know the Shanghai Insect Museum. It is on Fenglin Road. I n this museum, we can see many kinds of insects. I like this museum.
I know the Shanghai Car Museum . It is on Boyuan Road. In this museum, we can see many different cars. I like this museum.
I know the Shanghai Railway Museum. It is on East Tianmu Road. In this museum, we can see many different trains. I like this museum.
I know the Science Museum. It is beside Century Park. In this museum, we can see many interesting things. I like this museum.

第二课时主体学习文本:
Shanghai Science and Technology Museum is a great place. There are thirteen exhibition halls in it.
Welcome to ‘The World of Robots’. There are many robots in it. Some robots can play the piano. Some robots can perform Beijing Opera. And some robots can help firefighters put out the fires. They are very useful. Really amazing!
Welcome to ‘Spiders’. There are many different kinds of spiders in it. In ‘Spiders’spiders can make beautiful webs. With their webs, they can get their food. In 'Spiders', we can make webs

There are many interesting things in the Louvre Museum. People can learn about human history and many different cultures.
There are thousands of paintings in the museum. The world’s most famous painting, the Mona Lisa, is in the Louvre.
You cannot see everything on one trip. Many people come again and again. They want to see all the beautiful things there.

第四课时主体学习文本:
I’m interested in insects. I visited the Insect Museum. It’s a kind of science museum.
It’s on Fenglin Road. From the museum, I learnt a lot about insects. First, I saw many kinds of insect specimens. Next, I knew the most beautiful butterfly in the world. Its wings can change colours. Then , I learnt to make a butterfly specimen by myself. It was great fun. Finally, I watched a movie about the lifecycle of the butterfly in the video hall. It was really amazing! In my eyes, the Insect Museum is the learning place.
I love cars. I visited the Car Museum. It’s on Boyuan Road. In the museum, I can see many cars in different times. Some were very old, and some were very new. I can have a car race. I can buy toy cars. I can play many car games with. In my eyes, the Car Museum can be the happy place. I hope you can go to visit it too.
