教学内容:

If your friends come to visit Sunshine Town, what are you going to do with them? Where will you take them? This lesson introduces the terms of a practical function description “home town” . 教学目标: 1. To know Sunshine Town. 2. To gain the information about different lifestyles and activities. 3. To learn to describe our hometown and the lifestyles. 教学对象: The seventh grade student just contact with the reading of the lengthy discourse, also need the guidance of a teacher in reading ability, so I teach students how to use the skipping or skimming method to read the text silently. And I focus on finding them how to seize the key words in the sentence and the topic sentence in paragraphs.

教学策略: 1. Integrated applications and autonomous cooperative learning. 2. Know the meaning of words by matching the pictures with the words. 3. Use the text and the skills of reading to review and consolidate what they have learned. 教学设备：

computer, powerpoint, colour chalk, etc. 教学过程: Step1 Revision Ask students to translate Chinese to review the words and phrases. Step2 Presentation 1. Show different pictures of parks, shopping malls and food, then introduce our city or town.

2. Ask: What can we do in the park/ the shopping mall/ the theater...?

Students discuss with each other and answer. Step3 Listening , skimming and scanning 1. Listen to the tape and answer the question“What can you do in Sunshine Town?”

2. Read the text to understand the general idea, dividing the text into four parts. 3. Read the four parts and answer the questions or fill in the blanks.

Step4 Consolidation 1. Match the word with the meanings. 2. Learn some language points, such as look forward to, using TWK.
