3a-3c Teaching

aims: 1. Enable students to master the usage of do/does/have/has in present progressive tense.

2.Students can make sentences correctly, make conversations confidently and read by pairs loudly. 3. Encourage students to love sports , it can be good for our health. Teaching

difficult and key points : 1.How to use notional verbs in present progressive tense, and choose do or does correctly. 2.Make conversations and read smoothly .

procedures: Step 1 : Led in

Free talk ” What balls do you have? –I have…”

Students can review the sentences we’ve learned last class and this can cheer them up. T: What balls do you have? S: I have ……. Step 2 : Set a background story . Make this class an adventure for students .

Introduce 4 friends of mine, they all have balls . Watch the pictures and practice the conversations about:

T: Look! Does she /he have …..?

S: Yes, she/ he does. No, she/he doesn’t .She/ He has…….. today basketball star Kobe is caught by criminal and they want to save him,

they must win 4 missions ,but their English aren’t good. So let’s help them . Encourage them and start the Tasks. Step 3 : Presentation (the usage of have/has do/does) and practice in 3a Mission 1 : students should master the differences between have/has and do /does ,And finish 3a. Use charts to show students that how to match words.

Summary the rules and let students finish 3a as mission 1.Then clap for themselves. Step 4 Practice 3b and more Mission 2

1.Students under the usage of do/does have/has ,and fill in the blanks.

2.Then practice the conversations with their partners A: Do you have…? B: Yes, I do ./ No, I don’t. A: Does she/he have…? C: Yes, she/he does. /No, she/he doesn’t. 3.Practice a more difficult task, improve their ability of making sentences.

Step5: Production

Mission3 1.

Show a picture about Bob’s room ,ask students a question: What can you see? Students answer : I can see …. 2.

Say some sentences : S: Bob has ….. ,but he doesn’t have….. 2. Do a survey in their group and write sentences on their paper. Then show us the results.
