本堂课授课内容为七年级英语上册Unit 5 Do you have a soccer ball? 的第一课时Section A 1a-1c，主要为本单元关于球类话题做好导入。该部分内容主要分为单词学习和句型操练两大块，教学内容不多，因此关键在于以教材为依托，设计多种活动形式，让学生在练习和实践中掌握和运用单词、句型。

Preview the new words: tennis ball, soccer ball, volleyball, basketball, ping-pong ball, ping-pong bat, baseball, baseball bat. Learn their pronunciations and meanings. 设计说明：学生课前自学词汇，扫除课堂上的听读障碍，同时还能培养学生课前预习习惯和自主学习能力。

In class Step 1 Lead-in Enjoy music: Let the students listen to a song:“Do you like baseball ?”

and ask them to speak out the words of balls that they hear in the song. 设计说明：通过播放一首儿童歌曲:“Do you like baseball ?”让学生在听歌的愉悦氛围中，说出歌词中出现的球类单词。听歌说词既激发了学生的学习兴趣，又引出了今天的课题。

Step 2 Words learning

1. Present the pictures of basketball, volleyball and soccer ball.

The students are asked to answer the two questions when they see the pictures.

___________. 2. Present some pictures of other three balls and two bats. The teacher will ask the question :“What’s that ?” to make the students say the word. 3. Present all the pictures of the balls and bats. Step 4 Sentence pattern learning 1.

The teacher asks the students the question:“Do you have a ping-pong ball ?”

The students may answer:“No, I don’t.”

Then, the teacher gives a student a ping-pong bat and asks him:“Do you have a ping-pong bat ?” He may answer:“Yes, I do.”

The teacher writes the conversations on the blackboard. A: Do you have a ping-pong ball?

A: Do you have a ping-pong bat?

B: No, I don’t

B: Yes, I do. Make students underline the sentence pattern:“Do you have a/an...? ”
