Step 2 Lead-in

1.The teacher guides the Ss to enjoy the video of “The day of the week” and then ask the Ss to point out days of the week. 2.Teach the words of seven days in a week by asking the following two questions: 1) What day is it today? 2) How many days are there in a week？What are they?

3. Let students read the words after teacher. 4.Then ask some ss to read it one by one. Step 3 Presentation 1. Guide the Ss to match the words on the left with their opposites on the right in 1a, then check the answers. 2. Guide the Ss to read these words together.

Step4 Listening 1b&1c 1b: Listen to the tape for the first time and check the adjectives you hear in 1a. 1c:1. Listen for the second time and circle the classes David talks about on the schedule. Then check the answers. 2. Listen again and try to find out what subjects David likes and he doesn’t like and why. 3. Read after the tape. Step 5 Pair work 1.Ask students to finish 1d and then check the answers. 2.Ask a pair of Ss to read the conversation. 3.Ask students to talk about David’s favorite subjects with their partner, and then talk about their favorite subjects. And ask some pairs to act it out. Step6 Summary Let students know what we have learnt this class.
