Ⅰ. Analysis of textbook

The content of this period belongs to PEP Book two , the sixth period of Unit 2 in grade three. Students are supposed to mainly know the plots of the story. Meanwhile students can read the story and act it out. To develop students’ language further and to cultivate their interests are of the same importance during the whole process.

Ⅱ. Analysis of students

Students have learnt some key sentence patterns in this book. They also have some skills of reading and can get the main idea of the passage with the help of pictures. Students have different experience of their dressing and can share their experiences. Students can read the story and act the story out.

T: I'm Sophia. But I didn't bring my crown today. Can you help me cross the road and get my crown?

Ss: Yes!

T: You are so kind.

ⅱ. Presentation

1.Let's chant

Play the chant for students. They chant for two times.

2.Ask and answer

(1)Who's that woman?

Teacher presents a picture of Zhao Liying, a famous star.

Ask and answer, hinting students using the sentence "She is ......"

(2)Actress

Teacher asks stdents " Is she a teacher ?

Tell students that she's an actress.

Teach students the word. Have students read the words one by one.

(3) beautiful

Teacher presents a picture of Yang Mi, a famous actress.

Teach the word "beautiful". "She is beautiful."

(4)Listen and answer

Students listen to the tape. Answer the question "Who's that woman?"

" She's Zoom's mother.

She's an actress.

She's beautiful."

(5) Listen and read

Students watched the video and read after it.

3. Post- reading

Role-play

(1) Read the story in groups.

(2) Act the story out in groups.

ⅲ. Extension

Students share their experiences of dressing adults' clothes.
