教学设计理论依据：人教版设计的戏剧体裁对人物刻画的很生动，按照“以学生为中心来认识教材”的宗旨，本节课关键是梳理深化文本理解，充分理解戏剧台词的魅力，促进学生个性化发展，进一步理解课文，学习用批判性思维来欣赏戏剧，深刻理解李尔王这个人物，学会评价分析。激活学生对已有背景知识的理解，通过collect information discussion group-work 等活动深入了解课文，从而对文中人物更好的认知，从语言知识的输入，再到语言知识的理解输出, 最终完成对知识的构建。使学生更好的对戏剧人物把握，表达自己的观点，促进学生自主学习。

教材分析：本节教材为本单元拓张英语阅读能力英语技能训练的一部分，共有两大任务，一

通过阅读让学生充分了解感受戏剧语言及对人物的了解, 二训练学生阅读能力 小组合作表演能力及语言运用能力.

学情分析：教学对象为高中三年级学生，在高中两年英语学习的基础上，她他们的认知能力也有了进一步的发展，分析问题

解决问题的能力已提高，本节课的话题莎士比亚和他的戏剧《李尔王》，学生既熟悉又陌生，通过任务型课堂活动和学习，提高学生自主学习能力，分层布置任务，因材施教，让学生全员投入到课堂中来。

教学目标：（Teaching Goals）

I . Emotional teaching: 1. To make the Ss familiar with the great works by Shakespeare and the life story of the great litterateur .let students master the language of drama. 2. To instruct the Ss to analyze the desire and the greed and the greatness of the different characters . Help the Ss sort out the good qualities from the two plays. II. Teaching aims: 1. This unit includes two scenes of the play King Lear. Ss should learn the plots by themselves before class and then put forward their questions and present their views in class. 2. Help the Ss to get rid of the hurdle of learning language and train students’ reading ability. Through group work ,cultivate students ’cooperation ability. 教学重难点：（Teaching Important and difficult points）

1.How to enable the Ss have a better understanding of the theme of the play. 2. How to instruct Ss to find approach to improving their ability, especially reading, cooperation ,and autonomous learning abilities. 教学过程：(Teaching Procedures) READING (PART 1) WARMING UP 1.

Before class , show students a picture of Shakespeare. let students talk something about him and his works freely . e g: <> <> <> and<> 2.

Show students a short film, after enjoying ,let students guess the name of the movie, we know it is a part of King Lear, this class we will talk something about King Lear. Before learning I have some questions to ask you : 1) Do you love your father? 2) Is it important to show love and respect for your parents? why? 3) If you were married, would you love your parents less than you do now? [give students some proper appraise according to their answers] 3.

Show students another picture ( princess of Wencheng and Sentzen Gampo) Guide students talk something about them and think about these two questions: 1) Who decided who the emperor ’s children would marry? 2) Who succeeded him when the emperor died ? PRE---READING We know emperor has the highest right in ancient China ,our text tells us something about King Lear and his daughters , show students a picture of King Lear and his three daughters .let students guess what happened among them. READING Step 1 Fast reading If students want to know more information about the text, open books to page 12, give students 3 minutes to have a fast reading, then finish the questions on the screen 1) Make a list of all the characters who have appeared in the play 2) Why does King Lear want to give away his kingdom? 3) How is he going to decide who to give the best part of his kingdom to?

(according to students answers give some evaluation) Step 2 Careful reading After having a fast reading ,students have had a general understanding about our text, in order to have a better understanding about the play , they should have a careful reading , then find the answers about these tasks: 1) At the beginning of the play, of which daughter is King Lear most found? 2) Who tries to defend Cordelia ? What happens to him when he speaks out? 3) What did Cordelia say to her father? (Give some important information to help students have a further understanding ) Step 3 Discussion Ask students if they have any problems about our text, if they don’t have any problem ,let them have a discussion. There are two topics ,students can choose one of them to discuss. 1)

Discuss with your partners , use your own words to describe one of the characters in our text 2)

If you were King Lear or Cordelia , what would you do? (students have some minutes to discuss topics with their classmates , call some students to express their own opinions) Step 4 Role –play In order to have a better understanding about the play, let students relax themselves , role –play time is coming . let several students come to the front to perform the play: One plays the King Lear, one plays Goneril and another one plays Cordelia, the fourth person plays the Duke of Kent. Give students some stage property to help them go on their performances. ( give some evaluation bout students’ performances) Step 5 Summary and homework This class ,we have learnt something about King Lear, after class, write a short passage to describe the personality of characters in our text. Give some key information to students King Lear: Hot-headed, hard-hearted, foolish, bad-tempered Goneril: Deceitful, corrupt, greedy, cunning Regan: Deceitful, corrupt, greedy, cunning

Cordelia: Honest, truthful, loving, innocent Kent: Loyal, respectful, honest, truthful
