In Hollywood, kids find it difficulty to live a relaxing life, because their parents were ambitious. And the kids are part of their parents’ ambition. Parents pay splendid parties, expensive cars and designer clothes. And they buy care and attention for our kids because they have no time to give it themselves. There is not a parent stay at home most days, but it is kids that decide whether to make their own meals or go out to restaurants. They grow up real fast, and everyone is in a rush to be an adult, think it’s not cool to be a kid. They have become adults before they are ready to be a real parents.

(2) I was fortunate enough to be chosen as an exchange student to Mexico. I spend three months on academic courses in a high school. It has been one of the unforgettable experience in my life.

Much to my joy, the academic courses in Mexico is similar to that in Australia. What’ more, school days are divided into classes marking by the bell. However, the children in Australia are the ones who change classrooms while Mexican students stay in same room and the teachers change, what I think is the major difference. During the break, Mexican girls get together to chat but boys play sports.

At the very beginning, I find it much difficulty for me to fit in with the timetable. The school in Mexico starts at 7:00 am. I had a real hard time on that as it is at 9:00 am that I enter into the classroom for learning.

(3) Yang Li, a five-year-old girl living next door to me, very clever. Because she is not old enough to go to the school, she often asks me to teach herself to read, write and draw. She studies hardly and soon she learns a lot. One evening last month I was doing my English homeworks when she came to my house. She asked me how I learned English. “You would find English a bridge for so much knowledge,” I said. She then wanted to learn English, either. She has learned many English words so far but her parents are very grateful to me.

(4) My friend Henry, with him I studied in the same class, didn’t like studying at school. That’s because he couldn’t go to high school. He had to return back to his hometown, where his father wished him to learn to manage our small shop. However, the young man was not interesting in it and didn’t do as his father said. He spends a lot of time reading and learned how to repair cars. Last month, I accepted an e-mail from him inviting me take my vacation in his hometown. I started off. Seeing that he was such successful, I said, “Henry, all road lead to Rome. You are great!”

(5) What are the quality of a good teacher? Let me show you for an example. Mr. Smith, my maths teacher, is one of the best that I ever met. He knows his subject better and he always has special ways to make his classes lively and interested. We are not kept sitting all the time and are encouraging to learn through all kinds of activities. However, he treats all his students equally from the brightest to that who need extra help. I am luckily to have a teacher like Mr. Smith.

And I’m afraid I can’t go to your home in this summer, because I have promise my grandparents, they live in the countryside, to spend the summer with them. How I became a good badminton player is freshly in my mind. The first day I go to school, I found some of my classmates playing badminton. Amazing at how skillful they were. I made up my mind to be good at it. Late on. I often watched him carefully to learn their techniques, and kept practicing after I felt confident enough to challenge the good players in my class, In middle of the term, I became one of the best player in my school I take great pride of this experience because it not only helps me realize that I can achieve my potential through hard work, but makes me to know the proverb "Practice makes perfect”.

On the Earth Day, my classmates and I decided to do everything for our school. We were divided into three group. The first group picked up rubbish and put it in plastic bags. The second group painted the walls of the classrooms, where had been so dirty. The third group planted many trees in the courtyard under our teachers' help. I helped dig the holes on the ground, put the trees in the holes, fill the holes with soil. Later on, we water the trees. It was a tired day but we felt happily. Let's devote ourselves to protect our earth !
