Module6 Unit2 Was it a big city? 【教材分析】

本单元通过谈论画册，谈论深圳的事情，学习询问过去事物或人物的特征和状态。

学情分析

因为已经是第二课时的学习，学生已经初步感知并掌握了was 和were，通过意义操练进一步帮助学生内化知识，同时基于平时训练激活学生内在学习能动性。

【教学目标】

1. 能听、说、认读单词：village

2. 能理解课文大意并熟读课文。

2. 能灵活运用一般过去时的一般疑问句结构“Was/Were...?”,并能做出相应的回答。

2、认读和运用句子:

Yes, it was. /No, it wasn’t.

在情境中能够熟练运用was 或were的问句询问过去事物或人物的特征和状态。

【教学过程】

一、 warm-up激趣导入（2分钟）

1、播放歌曲，学生听唱。带领学生唱有关过去时的一首歌曲“I Was Fat”, 充分调动学生的积极性。

2、让学生找出歌曲中的反义词。

3、卡片出示long short dirty clean fat thin young old new big small 等词。学生读，然后找出一对一对的反义词。

二、Text learning

1、Tell them a story about my grandpa .(课件出示grandpa) talk like :This is my grandpa .He is in Shenzhen .Do you know Shenzhen ? It is a big city . 2、(课件出示城市)Was it a big city then ? No ,it wasn’t .It is a small village then .（课件出示深圳旧貌）

3、 Read the drills again and again. 4、Practice .Practise using the drills.(课件出示strong ,naughty )practising like ,He is strong .Was he strong then ?Yes ,he was . 5、Group work.students practise the drill like :Was it a big park? No, it wasn’t . 下面就请同学们按照提示开始预习吧！教师巡视，指导学生，发现问题。
