Step I Revision and Lead-in 1.

Check the homework. Ask the Students to review Act One: Fateful meetings. Step II Reading Task Part one: fast reading Have the students read the play carefully and then answer the following questions. After a few minutes. T: Now answer my questions. First: Do you know when did the play happen? S: Yes. It is happened at 11:00 am the next day . T: Where did the story happened? S: It happened at Henry Higgins’

house . T: Who are they?

S: The characters are Henry Higgins, Colonel Pickering, Eliza and Mrs. Pearce. T:What the plot about the story? S: Pickering made the bet with Henry. If Henry can turn Eliza into a lady in three months, Pickering will consider Henry the greatest teacher alive and he also agrees to pay all the costs himself. Part two: careful reading T:Act Two of the play and then choose the right answer.
