The Second Period:

Reading Analysis of the teaching content 材料设计了一组英国学生到周口店遗址参观的场景，通过学生与考古学家的对话，了解早期人类的生活方式，增长考古知识，增强对考古学的兴趣，增进保护文化遗产的意识。

Analysis of the students

学生已进入高二后阶段，经过近两年的学习和强化训练，具备了较强的阅读能力和一定的听说写能力。通过实践的方式，全面接触了高考的各大题型。熟悉对篇章理解的被动输出（即A/B/C/D选项的选择），但对篇章理解的口头和书面的主动输出能力较为欠缺。

Step Ⅰ. Revision （

The English monitor conducts it during the preparing time before the class begins. ）

Go over the useful words that will be found in the dialogue. Step Ⅲ. Listening （Line1-Line23）( 6′)

Get the Ss to listen to part of the conversation twice and answer the following questions: 1.

Who is the conversation between? 2.

Why have the English students come to the Zhoukoudian caves? 3.

How did early people keep warm? 4.

What did they use for a door?

Step IV. Reading Task1: Get the Ss to read quickly and choose the best answers. Then get some of them to speak out their answers and explain why.
