How to distinguish French fries& fried rice. •

How to ask and answer “What do you like?”

and order food in English. Teaching key points: •

Key sentences: What do you like? / I like.... Teaching procedures: Step 1 Lead in •

Sing the Song of Cool Ice Cream. Step 2 Presentation •

Present “hungry, restaurant, menu, French fries and fried rice”. Read the words and do some games. •

Review the words with a thinking map on the blackboard. •

Introduce the dialogue “What do you like? / I like....” with games and practices. •

Learn to sing the song of the key sentences and words.

Step 3 Drill & Practice •

Display the flash, then, do a group chat with such questions: Who’s hungry? Where are they now? Hey, Ken, what do you like? Hey, Ann, what do you like? Hey, Mocky, what do you like? Then, fill up the blanks and complete a thinking map of this lesson. •

Read the context after the teacher; Read the context together; Recite the context with the thinking map; Role-play the context. Step 4 Consolidation& Product Introduce four restaurants: Pizza Hut, a cafe, a hot pot restaurant and a fruit store, show the students how to make up new conversations, and then do a group chatting so as to give a show.
