(what season is it now? Is it fit for a trip? If I go on a trip, what will I take?) Step 2 Pre-reading

Present some new words and phrases with the help of pictures. (go straight on, walk along the road, cross the bridge, quite, giraffe, necks, leaves, forest, bamboo, all day long ,funny ) Step 3 While-reading 1. Skimming Read the passage quickly and answer two questions:

(1) How many kinds of animals are there in the zoo? (2) What are they？

2. Scanning Read the passage carefully and find out the routes . 3. Detailed reading ⑴ Read para1 &2 and fill in the blanks with the correct words. ①

Step 4 Post-reading

1. Try to make up a dialogue about “the trip to the zoo”, using the modal dialogue. 2. Ask some of the students to try to retell the routes in Sunshine Zoo. Step 5 Extensive activity

What can/can’t a visitor do in the zoo? How to be a good visitor? 













Feed animals? Frighten the animals? Take photos? Hurt the animals? Follow your teachers or parents? Throw the rubbish anywhere? ... Step6 Homework 1. Remember the new words. 2. Tell your friends the trip to the zoo. 3. Find some ways to protect the animals.
