Step 1 . Pre- reading

1.

Ask a question : Which kind of story do you like best, love story , funny story, exciting story or ghost story? 2.

Get students to listen to recorder with books open, trying to find the time ,place and characters. 3.

Read the text again and find the past from of the verbs , including regular verbs and irregular verbs.

Step 2 . while- reading

1.

Get students to read through the text in 3 minutes, and let them try to find the answers to the following questions. (1)

What did Millie and Amy hear in the park when they sat under the tree? (2)

What made the noise? (3)

At last, who found the ghost? And in fact, what was it ?

After checking the answers to the three questions, the teacher lets the students read again and find out the answers to the questions below. (1)
