Module 4 A Social Survey-My Neighborhood ---A Lively City 大连铁路中学 刘方嫄

一、教学理念

根据《高中英语标准》提出的理念：注重课程的基础性，要为学生的终身学习和发展打基础；优化学习方式，改变学生被动学习的现状，提倡积极主动的参与；培养学生的整体人文素养，关注学生情感；建立促进学生全面发展的多元化评价体系，形成性评价和终结性评价相结合。

二、教材分析

本课例是外研版必修 1第四模块里的Reading and Vocabulary部分，围绕“A Lively City”这一主题，介绍厦门市的地理位置、气候及城市概况。让学生阅读文章后完成练习，培养学生的快速阅读能力，仔细阅读，获取信息的能力以及对词汇的猜测，认读和应用能力。学习本课从不同侧面介绍城市的方法，要求学生学完本课后能够熟练运用本课的新词或新句介绍自己的家乡。实现从学到用的跨越。老师可以在此基础上又为学生提供了一篇比较全面的介绍厦门的小短文。通过阅读短文，学生就会掌握一系列介绍城市的句型和词语。例如：It consists of…, It situates in the south part of China…, on the south coast of China…, the climate is…, gorgeous等等。 三、学情分析

教学对象是高一学生，英语基础知识和基本技能都是一般水平，英语学习兴趣不浓，因此，调动学生的学习兴趣，以学生主动学习为目标。通过任务型课堂活动和学习，学生的学习自主性得到加强，不再认为英语课堂学习很枯燥，主动参与到活动中去，成为课堂的主体，同时也加强了与他人交流合作的能力。本班学生的水平参差不齐，有些差距还相当大。因此，在教学过程中，布置的任务要兼顾各个层次的学生，使他们都有所收获。
