II. Analysis of the teaching material: This is the third teaching period of this unit. This teaching period mainly deals with the grammar: The Attributive Clause. It plays a leading part in this unit. III. Analysis of the students: The subjects of this class are students in Senior one. Their learning performance and attributive learning ability are poor. IV. Teaching aims:

Knowledge aims: 1.

Get students to learn what the attributive clause is and its relatives. 2. Let students grasp the various relative pronoun and adverb and their usages. Ability aims: 1.

Enable students to use the attributive rightly.. 2. Learn how to use the usages of the relatives to make some sentences. 3. Let students tell the different among the relatives. Emotion aims: 1. Arouse students’ great interest in learning the attributive clause. 2. Develop students’ sense of cooperating with others and finish task by themselves or in group. V. Teaching important and difficult points

1. Let students grasp the usage of the attributive clause. 2. Get students to use the relatives rightly in the exercises. VI. Teaching methods Task-based teaching, learning, cooperative learning, discussing, play a game, practice.

Definition and relatives: 引导词 关系代词：which, that, who, whom, whose, as（在句中充当成分，可作主语，宾语，表语，定语）

关系副词：when, where, why，在句中只作状语。

whose 在定语从句中作定语，表示引导词与 whose 后的名词为所属关系。 whose经常后接名词，这结构可以用the+名词＋of+whom/which来替换，意义不变。

3.which和that都指物时只用that不用which的情况

①.当先行词是不定代词时，如：all, everything, anything, nothing, much, few, any,little, none, the one等。

②.先行词前有the only, few, one of, little, no, all, every, very等词修饰时。

③.先行词被序数词first, last, next等或形容词的最高级修饰时。

④.当先行词既有人又有物时。

⑤.当先行词是系动词be后面的表语时。

⑥当主句时以who, which, 或what开头的特殊疑问句时。

⑦there be 句型中

4.只用which不用that的情况

①先行词在非限制性定语从句中充当主语或宾语。

②.当关系代词前有介词。

③.当先行词本身是that时。

5.关系代词who,which, that,在从句中作主语时，从句的谓语动词的人称和数必须和先行词保持一致。

6. 以the way为先行词的定语从句通常由in which, that引导，而且通常可以省略。

8 . 先行词与such，the same连用时，常用关系代词as。

9. As引导非限制性定语从句,代指整个主句。从句的位置很灵活，可以放在句首句末也可以插入主句中间。有逗号。常用的有：

10. 定语从句一般紧跟在先行词的后面，但有些时候也会被同位语、状语、谓语、其它定语等成分分隔。此时能够理清句子结构，慧眼识别先行词就显得特别重要。
