Teaching material analysis 1). Aim to the knowledge:

The first one, students can listen, read, say and spell the target words: sweater, jeans, shirt, T-shirt, coat The second one, students can listen, read, say the target sentences : What do you wear? I wear… /We wear…

The third one, pupils can understand .read the two dialogues about summer and winter fluently.

2). Aim to the abilities : To improve the students communication ability. To develop the ability of listening, speaking, writing and the ability of working in groups and communication.. 3). Aim to the emotion: To develop the Ss’ cooperation and proper competition. 3..Key and difficult points:

To help Ss communicate with each other using the sentence What do you wear ? Ⅱ Analysis of the pupils The pupils have learned English for almost five years. They can speak simple English. And they are all at the age of 9-11. They are very active and they are good performers. Some students are too shy to speak out, some students can’t remember words and sentences, so, we need more practice in class. We can use group competition, position memory method, teacher-student interaction to encourage them Ⅲ Teaching methods: In this topic, I will use situational teaching method, position memory method, Game teaching method , Task-based Method, and Group Cooperate method, group competition, teacher-student interaction. I design some tasks and prepare many pictures draw by myself and CAI to help the students learn. I think if I want to improve the students’ English level, I should give them enough chances to practice and let the students take an active part in all kinds of activities. That is “Learning by doing, learning by using”. Let the students be the masters of the class teaching, thus, student-centered teaching method is well shown. Ⅳ Study methods.

I request the students to study English independently and cooperatively. Also I help students try to use original knowledge to lead to new knowledge Ⅴ Teaching aids

I will use some pictures draw by myself, word and sentence cards, and CAI to help me achieve the aims. Ⅵ The time table of teaching steps 1. Warming up and lead in. It will take me 5 minutes. 2. Presentation. This is the important part in this lesson. It will take me 15 minutes. 3. Practice. It will take me10 minutes. 4. Game. It will take me 8 minutes. 5. Briefly summary and homework. It will take me 2 minutes. Ⅶ Teaching procedures: I’ll finish this lesson in 7 steps.

Step1:

Warming up and lead-in[情景导入,复习四季单词,引入四季着装] The purpose is to arouse the students’ interest of study.

In order to attract the Ss’ attention and construct an surrounding of learning English, I will sing a song “What’s your favorite season?”

Lead in: I will let the students answer the question, What’s your favorite season? Review the four seasons, and divide Ss into 4 groups,

when one student answer my question, the group can get a magnet. 1. T: Boys and girls, my favorite season is summer, look at me now, I wear hat, dress today, let’s review some words together.

2. Scenario review four words such as hat, skirt, cap and dress. Teacher asks the question and answer, “What season is it now? I wear a hat” (reread “wear” and write wear on blackboard).

3. We wear different clothes in different seasons, show teacher’s photo in four seasons. Step2: Presentation(坚持词不离句原则,在句型中开展新颖有趣的学习新单词活动)

The purpose is to present the key words and sentence structure. Doing actions and pictures provide a direct view for students to understand better. Present the target words: sweater, jeans, shirt, T-shirt, coat. Use

pictures draw by myself.

T: What do I wear? I wear sweater. Read after me, I wear sweater. Read this one by one, line by line, group by group. Present the target sentence( learn):Show some pictures and I will ask Ss a question “What do you wear?”

Step 3.Practice

The purpose is to develop the skills of listening , speaking and hands-producing .This activity provides guided oral practice using the target language. 1. Target

words practice After learn all the new words, show some pictures of clothes through ppt, ss read the words quickly.

2. Target sentences practice.(show pictures of different seasons through ppt) T: Look, what season is it now? It’s spring now. What do you wear in spring? Ss answer the question and choose spring clothes and put them on blackboard.

3. Pairwork. Students work in pairs. Use the target sentences: What do you wear in spring? I wear…/We wear. It provides a chance for students to train the ability cooperation. Step 4.Play a game

The purpose is to develop the abilities listening and speaking. Ss choose some clothes of summer and winter all by themselves, use these clothes to practice the new sentences.(there are four students in front of the podium and holding summer and winter sighs, ask other students to put the clothes of different seasons on them)

Step 5: Summary

The purpose is to give the students a clear idea of different seasons wear different clothes. Step 6 :

Homework

Purpose: It’s important for students to speak English as much as possible in class or after class. It’s necessary for them to do some extensive exercise after class to consolidate the knowledge they

have learnt . Home work:

1. Reading new words and sentences. 2. Act dialogue in pairs Step 7: Design of blackboard

During my teaching,I’ll try my best to get my class alive and encourage the students to talk with each other in English. I think the general aim of English teaching is to improve the ability of communication with English. And I’ll use this to guide my teaching. Make the students to love the interesting English and the lovely English teacher.
