Teaching Plan Teaching aims: 1.

Students will be able to use the number words from “eleven” to “twenty” and key sentence patterns “—How many apples do you have? -- I have only three.”

Students will be able to comprehend the story with the help of pictures and the teacher and act it out. 3.

Students will know the meaning of “He who laughs last laughs best.” in the race.

Greetings and sing the song “One, two, three, four, five ” to warm up.

Ⅱ.Lead-in: Ask the question “How many fish do I catch in the song?” to lead in. Divide the students into two groups, a boy’s group and a girl’s group. Ⅲ.Presentation: 1. Review the key words by writing them beside the number . 2. Review the sentence pattern “-- How many apples do you have? -- I have only three.”

3. Read the key words and sentence pattern. 4. Play the tape and ask the question “What do Zip and Zoom do?”

5. Check the answer 6. Ask students to observe the pictures carefully and guess the main idea of the story. 7. Play the video and ask students to read after it loudly. Ⅳ.Practice: 1. Let’s have a race 2 students have a PK every time. They count the number from one to twenty. The one who counts faster wins the race. 2. Role-play 2 students a pair. One is Zoom, and the other is Zip. 3 minutes to practise. Act out the story. Invite 2 pairs to perform the story in the front of class. Ⅴ.Production: Let’s play 2 students a group retell the story. 5 minutes for them. Then the teacher plays the music and students pass a box. When the music stops, the one who gets the box

should retell the story. Show out the story with his partner. 2-3 groups show in front. Prepare the cards with apples. Play the video again and make the sound in silence. Make an example if necessary. Ⅵ.Summary:

Invite the little teacher to review the lesson. Show the result of match. Make a cartoon about another race “The Race Between Hare and Tortoise”. Show the proverb “He who laughs last laughs best.”
