Blackboard design: Unit 1 Reading: Advertisements The competition of filling in blanks: Boys VS Girls Teaching reflection: This is a reading class, the main task is to let students read and improve their reading ability. So during my preparation, I designed different ways to lead students to read this passage in order to make them understand this article fully. During the class, students could follow my step and finish their task though looked a little nervous because there were many teachers sitting behind. They were also active, once I raised a question, most students could undertake brainstorm and found out the correct answers. What I didn’t expect was they were afraid to share their ideas alone, they were shy to be volunteers. I encouraged them constantly and later it went better. In a nutshell, this class is successful, but there are still some shortcomings I need to overcome in my later teaching. I will do more research on the textbook and learn more from other materials.
