Unit4 What can you do?

活动设计

一、教学目标

学生通过chant、ask and answer、任务、情感教育等四个部分的活动开展，充分复习第四单元的动词短语，着重用what can you do? I can....这个句型创设出真实的语境，让学生充分地运用语言进行交流。

Step 1 warm up and consolidation

Boys and girls, let's chant. (what can you do? what can you do? I can dance. I can cook. I can play basketball.

Can you sing? Yes, I can. Can you swim? No, I can't. what can you do? what can you do? I can speak English, too.) 设计意图：一开课就播放chant, 通过师生的互动，让学生感知要复习的内容，同时能吸引学生的注意力，让学生感受良好的学习氛围，并为下面的学习做了很好的铺垫。

Step 2 Ask and answer.

T：I'm a teacher. I can speak English. I'm a mother. I can cook at home.

Q1: What can you do at home?

(students answer) Q2: If you are sad, what can you do?

(students answer) Q3: What can you do on the double ninth festival? (students answer) T: You're so helpful. We can go to the old people's home, and help the old people.

设计意图：通过三个问题的设置，从三个方面发散了学生的思维，复习以前学过的相关单词或词组。

Step 3 Activities

1. Show on some pictures of the old people's home. T: Look, this is the old people's home. Many children often go there to help them and make them happy. My students often go there, too. Please watch, what can they do for the old people?

2. Play a video. After the video, teacher ask students：

T: Are they helpful? Yes, and they are happy.

3. Tasks. Now, children. There are some tasks here. You can choose one of them, and finish it in your group, then show us. Maybe the video can

help you. 设计意图：创设真实的语境，领受言语的表达。在活动设计的过程中，我充分考虑了学生们经常会参与到的活动，让他们能在真情实境中有序地组织思维、理解、感悟具体情境所传达的信息。

Step 4 Emotional educations You're very helpful. You can do many things. Boys and girls, for some special people, they have a lot of difficulties. But they can do many things, too. Let's watch. We're helpful in the world, so we should believe that where there's a will, there's a way. 设计意图：通过残疾人励志成才的图片及相关的文字信息，渗透情感，升华主题。同时培养学生发现自身优点，正确认识自己，增强自信心，促进自我发展。
