Teaching methods: Discussion and co-operative approach Teaching procedures: Step1: Lead in Enjoy a song《smile at your neighbour》. 歌曲给学生愉悦的环境，消除师生的陌生感，熟知的谚语也加深学生对于主题的理解，引入本课主题。

Step2:Pre-reading 1.

Introduce my community by showing some pictures. 2.

Students enjoy the pictures and answer: What are my neighbours like? 3.

Learn some new words and expressions . 4.

Review these new words and phrases. 5.

Finish partB1. 在阅读之前给学生大量的图片呈现新的生词和表达方式，让学生在读课文之前对文中的内容有大致的了解，预防学生出现生词障碍。并且在学完生词和表达之后可以立即完成书中关于词汇的练习。

Step3:While-reading 1.

Watch a video, and answer one question. 2.

Read quickly, and talk about Amy’s notes. 3.

Read carefully, and answer the questions in pairs. 4.

Read and act the dialogue. 在阅读过程中，通过快读，精读，分角色朗读等让学生理解课文内容，并且在解决问题的过程中让学生通过两两合作或四人一小组进行配合完成相应的练习任务。

Step4:Post-reading 1.Talk about the problems in students’ community. 2.Let students join LeiFeng Club. And share their skills. 3.Fill in the application form and introduce students themselves. 这一部分先通过发现社区问题，再引导学生学习雷锋，申请志愿者加入雷锋俱乐部，让学生有乐于助人的心理，从而真正指导学生在社区做一个有奉献精神，乐于助人，有价值的青少年。

Step5:Acting time Let ss make dialogues. 学生可以根据自己的能力和发现的问题来编写与课文内容相似的对话，从而真正掌握本课内容。
