Greeting. T:Good morning,boys and girls!

Ss: Good morning, Miss Huang! 2.

Lead in: T: Today is good,let’s have our English class out,OK?

Ss:Great!

T:So please look at the picture on the screen and guess where are we going. (Show a picture of a zoo)

Ss: Zoo!

T: Yes, it’s a zoo.Let’s go!

Step II Presentation 1、Review the word of animals.(Show two pictures quickly and the disappear.)

T: What are they?

Ss: It’s a monkey/giraffe.

2、Teach the new word. (1)

tall & short. T show the picture with two giraffes,one is tall and the other is short.

T: What are they?

Ss: They are giraffes.

T: Yes. They are giraffes! Look! This is tall and that is short.(Stress the pronunciation of tall and short.

Follow the steps: a. Read the words after the tape.

b. Read louder than before.

c. Make the sentence like: It’s tall/short.
